When individual fibers are crocheted together with a thread of emotion, they become an original, personal design. This creative process is my joyful obsession

First Post!

I created this blog once, deleted everything and here I am again.  I just didn't like how I had done it.  I am hoping that through this blog I can share my love of crafting and to let everyone know what I have created and what I have in the works.  I also have  hopes of selling more of my items through this blog and my upcoming facebook store.  I love to crochet, and here are my latest creations for you to check out.

If you see something you'd like to have, or to order, please contact me!

Leonardo from Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles.  This one was for my handsome grandson Austin.  He looked so cute in it! Below is a picture of the hat showing the scarf on the back.
Leonardo was the first character hat I had made.  Little did I know that I would be addicted in a major way!
I then began searching the internet for cartoon characters, as the last cartoons I watched were with my girls and they consisted of Barney, Little Bear and Gulla Gulla Island (which I am still in love with Binya Binya Pollywog... so watch this blog because I may just have to make a Binya Binya hat!)  Then a friend asked me if I could make a Dragon, as her grandson was in love with dragons.  I have done 3 dragon hats now and here they are:

First Dragon/Dino done in Chocolate Brown and Dark Green done for an adorable little guy who kept telling his Nanny that it was a Blue Dragon!  Guess that's his favorite dragon from the movie "How to Train Your Dragon".
Second hat done for an adorable little boy who is a twin and his mom requested a WVU hat!
After seeing the WVU hat, a friend asked for one for her handsome little grandson in Ohio State Colors!  I guess he loves the pom poms on another hat so this one got pom poms added!
Lil' Miss Sunshine Bumble Bee!  This was done for the other twin!  She loves Bumble Bees!  I just hope she doesn't try to pick them up this summer.... OUCH!

Then another friend asked me to do a Lady Bug, and then my neice asked for a Lady Bug!  And this is what transpired....

Below are the creations that have come along since:
Made in the likeness of Elmo! (I guess I have to watch how I post, I could get into trouble for copyright issues)
Made in the likeness of Cookie Monster, and yes I know I am not politically correct on this one... he is now Veggie Monster! (Isn't that stupid?)

Made in the likeness of Hello Kitty!  She has a detachable bow and pom poms.

Made in the likeness of the one and only Scooby Doo!  Complete with Doggie Tag (shown below) and a 3D Nose!

Another custom order this one in the likeness of Jack the Skeleton from "Nightmare Before Christmas"

And finally, my favorite character from Pooh.....  Eeyore (or the likeness of Eeyore)  He has a 3D nose, button eyes and a full mane! (shown below)

The hats have really evolved, from a Ninja Turtle Beanie to 3D!  I have more in the works and will update this site daily with pictures of what I am working on and what I have completed.  Currently I am working on a baby cocoon, and a Blue's Clue's.  Keep checking back, you may just run across something that you or a family member just can't live without.   I am currently selling the hats for $15 (plus s/h if applicable), and $22 for the 3D hats (plus s/h if applicable) and will make you a special one in the likeness of your favorite character.   I do have a paypal account, and currently my turn around time is running right at a week.

I also plan to do some for the summer, in lighter weight yarn!
